Finance Committee

The Committee on Finance is responsible for overseeing plans that deal with the budgeted income and budgeted outflow for the church.

The ‘income’ comes from our need to be in relationship with our Lord, and refers to each person’s need to give to God. The finance committee oversees a Stewardship Campaign each calendar year. This campaign is an opportunity for the church to help remind people of how important their relationship to God is, and of their need to give.

The ‘outflow’ is primarily our church’s Operating Budget. This budget is pulled together from every area of operation of the church at the end of each calendar year, then reviewed by the Finance Committee. The budget is finally adopted by Church Council.

The Finance Committee also reviews all designated funds that are separate from the church’s Operating Budget.
